NEW NORMAL GUIDE TO BORACAY

NEW NORMAL GUIDE TO BORACAY

  • What are the requirements needed before traveling to Boracay?
  • Where to book a hotel?
  • Best hotel to stay in Boracay
  • What to do in Boracay during the "New Normal"?

Last February 12, 2021, We went to Boracay for a short stay-cation. Before I share with you what happened,  I will list down all the requirements needed before you can enter Boracay.

  1. Negative RT-PCR Test Result
  2. Valid ID
  3. Hotel Booking Confirmation
  4. Health Declaration Form - QR Code
  5. Ticket Flight to Boracay
NEGATIVE RT-PCR TEST RESULT

What we do first is we booked our Flight and Hotel because those are some of the requirements needed to get a Negative RT-PCR Test Result. We booked our swab test at Philippine Children's Medical Center (PCMC) for only 750Php. You should book your swab test five (5) days before departure. Click Here to book your swab test at PCMC.  (I will make a separate blog about the procedures for booking a swab test)

HEALTH DECLARATION FORM

After receiving the Negative RT-PCR Test Result, It's time to fill up the Health Declaration Form to get your QR Code. We registered online at http://aklan.gov.ph to fill up the health declaration form. We just waited for 2-3 hours then we received the QR Code in our email. It is very important for you to have the QR Code because it will be presented at the airport and establishments in Boracay.

HOTEL BOOKING

We booked our hotel at https://www.agoda.comMost of the hotels are 50-75% off and that is a very good deal. We stayed at Hennan Palm Beach Resort. We chose the Premiere with Direct Pool Access and when we arrived at the hotel, They upgraded us to Grand Beach View Room for FREE!! You can also check out the list of DOT-accredited accommodations here

ACTIVITIES IN BORACAY DURING THE NEW NORMAL

  • Swimming - Visitors are allowed to go swimming but you must first register and check your body temperature. If you booked a hotel that has a swimming pool, it is also allowed to use the facility.

After 9 months of quarantine and no travel, Our 4 Days and 3 Nights stay in Boracay are still worth it. Even though you can see a lot of differences compared to the Boracay before the pandemic, the New Normal in Boracay teaches us to really appreciate the beauty of nature and make time with our family and friends. We were able to live the Mask-Free life again even just a couple of hours and see once again the beautiful waves of smiles and laughter in the outside world. Thank you, Boracay for making our New Normal, The Best Normal! See you again! Till next time....
